Buckner Wadsworth and Associates, LLP Receives Brighton Chamber of Commerce 2015 Small Business of the Year

Buckner Wadsworth and Associates, LLP has been recognized as the Brighton Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business of the Year for 2015. Each year Chamber – member businesses are nominated and awarded based on community involvement, business ethics, professionalism, and overall contribution to the success of the Brighton business community.

“It was a pleasant surprise,” said Dan about receiving the award. “I am proud of all of the BWA staff who contribute to a great firm that strives to put clients first!”

Buckner Wadsworth and Associates has been a part of the Brighton community for many years, offering tax, general accounting and consulting services to individuals, businesses and organizations.

Dan Buckner started his public accounting practice in Brighton in 1983. Marty then joined him as a partner and they formed Buckner Wadsworth and Associates in 2004.

Dan and Marty have a history of involvement in the Brighton Community which they both call home.  Each chaired the Brighton Chamber of Commerce and their civic clubs, Brighton Rotary and Kiwanis.  They have also served on 27J School District committees and other community organizations.  Dan is currently serving on the Eagle View Adult Center Board of Directors and both are assisting various non-profit organizations with their tax and accounting needs.

When asked about the award and how he feels about Brighton, Marty shares, “We’re honored to be recognized by the Chamber, Brighton is home to us and we are fortunate to live and work in the Brighton community.”
